We may feature promoted events or content within Momento, but this is based only on your activity within the app — not on tracking you across other services.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Location Information

We collect location data to power core features of the app.

  • Improving event recommendations

Important:

  • Location is collected only while using the app or with your permission
  • We do not track your location across other apps
  • We do not share your real-time location with other users without your consent

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.

Contacts (Optional)

If you choose to enable contacts, they are used to help you find people you know. We do not sell your contacts or use them for advertising.

Device & Usage Information

Used for security and fraud prevention, debugging and performance improvements, and understanding how the app is used.

Analytics & Diagnostics

We request access to certain device features only when needed: camera (to create event content), contacts (to find people you know), and microphone (for audio features, if applicable). You can disable these permissions at any time.

Business Transfers: If Momento is involved in a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not share your personal information with advertisers. Promoted content is delivered within the app using first-party data only.

We retain your data while your account is active, as needed to provide services, and as required by law. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe. Some data may be retained for legal or security purposes.
